Everbright E610 Additional Information

Everbright E610 was developed from the basic shape of E609 with increased depth and width in the jointing cavity. When the development of Everbright E610 began it was immediately apparent that results indicate E610 is some 25% stronger in curved applications. In real terms this means the maximum span for E610 with aluminium locking bars in 5 of 6 joints is 12.00 metres.

We believe this increased strength allows the designer to take full advantage of its ability to create dramatic roofing features with minimal structure. The first commercial application of Everbright E610 was the dramatic translucent barrel vaulted roof of the new Tattersalls Stand at Cheltenham Racecourse. The five-storey stand includes viewing steps for 2000 people, tiered seating for 700 more and a top floor 240-seat restaurant directly beneath the Everbright roof. Designed by The Lobb Partnership in association with Jan Bobrowski and Partners Consulting Engineers, the cantilevered roof comprises four bays at 10.50 metre centres. Everbright E610 freespans 10.10 metres between the structural supports.

Our association with The Lobb Partnership continued in 1999 with the use of Everbright in vertical glazing elements and tapered barrel vaulting at The Millennium Stadium.

Continuous development in plastics technology over the past 30 years means that new Everbright panels can be expected to perform even better than those now in service.
