Hamilton & Alexandra College Middle Years Centre Hamilton Victoria

4.5mtr free span

This recently completed project will help you understand the benefits of our 74mm polycarbonate system and showcases it's suitability for top end commercial developments.

The Everbright translucent walls Illuminates the New Art Centre at Hamilton & Alexandra College Middle Years Centre, Hamilton, Victoria. The Everbright Ice White product was used as multiple translucent walls sections, to create a modern design feature for this new development. 1 x large featured curved wall with a 7.5mtr radius @4.5mtr (free span). Area (140sqm) 7 x vertical translucent walls sections @ 2.2mtr (free span). Total project area 240sqm.

The design brief for this new development was for a modern unique looking translucent system, that would be the signature statement for the whole development.

The Everbright translucent cladding now provides a unique appearance, with its clean modern look, while creating the correct ambience required for the Art Centre. The Everbright panels increased thermal performance provides a comfortable environment for all the staff and pupils at this facility all year round.

The client was looking for a product that has superior spans, panel strength, long life span, superior thermal/ acoustic performance, fire performance characteristics and is self cleaning. This new facility now provides the College with an esthetically pleasing environment, due to the minimal structural requirements, which enables all the natural light to flood through the Everbright walls unrestricted. This made the Everbright product an obvious solution, as the market leader in its field. The Everbright E610 product is proudly manufactured in Australia.

Our polycarbonate system give a seamless and continuous line, with no steel frame work spoiling the visual effect. E610 Integral locking bars hide the aspect of where a panel starts and where it finishes, so it becomes a continuous system giving a uniformed and conformed design feature. Creating an architectural flare, that isn't possible with any other polycarbonate system available on the market. Our system only needs to be secured with washer and screw fixings provided to both the lower and higher end of the panels, all the joints are self sealing once the integral locking bar is fitted. Other systems would necessitate the need for a framed grid work support system across the entire roof.

E610 polycarbonate panels incorporate an excellent safety factor. All loading criteria are based on 0.75kN/sqm and a 50% safety factor as part of a standard specification detailing.
