This recently completed project will help you understand the benefits of our 74mm polycarbonate system and and showcases it's suitability for top end commercial developments.

Everbright E610 was used recently for the City of Kingston at the foreshore amenities buildings in Mentone, Melbourne, VIC. These developments consisted of the following area;

2 x Opal Everbright translucent circular canopy roofs @ various panel lengths incorporation locking system LS2.1. See design loads, which shows you in more detail the different locking systems available. Our panels simply clip together making the installation process very rapid, as our product only requires to be joined every 600mm on site.
The total project area for both these amenities buildings was approximately 66 square meters. The Everbright panels were tapered and stepped in 100mm increments, to create the design feature required by the Architects.

Opal was the selected colour due to 67% percent light transmissions for visible light.

Installation time for this project was three days, and there were two tradesmen available on site.

The design brief for this development was for a elegant looking translucent system, which would utilize all the natural light available, providing a striking Architectural feature.
Our system was ideally suited for a project of this nature, due to E610's free span capabilities, durability, and panel strength.
For developments of this nature E610's additional benefit, is that in the unlikely event of people climbing on the roof or even falling from a big height, our polycarbonate system will not break or the joints separate. Making E610 one of the strongest translucent materials available in the world today. 
Several other key factors were for a product that was rapid to construct, therefore keeping disturbance down to a minimum.
The Everbright E610 panels only needs to be joined every 600mm on site this makes the installations process very rapid. 
Our 74mm polycarbonate system gives a unique visual appearance and modern uniformed look making use of all the natural light available.
All these factors made our system a excellent and obvious solution for this development.

E610 LS2.1 Weight and dead load calculations;
Locking System LS2.1 = 9 kg/sqm with a dead load of 0.90kN/sqm.

E610 polycarbonate panels incorporate as standard detailing an excellent safety factor. All loading criteria are based on 0.75kN/sqm and a 50% safety factor as part of a standard specification detailing.

Makrolon 1243 is the material used in our polycarbonate roofing system, which is part of the worldwide Bayer Group.
Everbright E610 comes with a manufacture's worldwide 10 year warranty and the panels have a life expectancy in excess of 35 years.

Our polycarbonate system give a seamless and continuous line, with no steel frame work spoiling the visual effect. E610 Integral locking bars hide the aspect of where a panel starts and where it finishes, so it becomes a continuous system giving a uniformed and conformed design feature. Creating an architectural flare, that isn't possible with any other polycarbonate system available on the market. Our system only needs to be secured with washer and screw fixings provided to both the lower and higher end of the panels, all the joints are self sealing once the integral locking bar is fitted. Other systems would necessitate the need for a framed grid work support system across the entire roof.
